September 2020 Is Going To Be An Exciting Month

2020 has proved to be an exciting year for us here at Pole Position Raceway Des Moines. We started the year off with two and a half months of record sales with us being on a 115% of 2019 revenue run. Everything was going well until COVID-19 hit with the mandatory closures. After those 97 days of being closed, we were finally able to open to the public with some restrictions. We have a SaniBoXX Helmet Decontamination unit that uses UVCL: Light to decontaminate the helmets between uses, hand sanitizing stations form SanStationsCo.com, mandated new, full-face balaclavas and increased sanitization procedures. Our customers were anxious to return to racing and have confirmed that we are doing the right thing by coming back at levels above last year for walk-in traffic. We are rewarding our customers with many improvements including a new track design, several new karts, added party/meeting rooms, iRacing Simulators and more. Later this month, we will be opening an entirely new business here at P2RDSM that we are very excited about. It is the world's best VR Experience which is an Omniverse VR Experience facility. It is the only VR experience in the world where the players can freely walk and/or run through the VR world at speed. It is simply AMAZING. While we miss the Iowa Cubs, Iowa Wild, Buccaneers, Iowa State Fair, Blank Park Zoo, and all of the other things that we didn't get to do this year; we hope that the Omniverse VR Experience will help bring some joy to your life.
