LIBERTY PARK RACEWAY, LLC AND P2R KARTING, INC. ANNOUNCE PLANS FOR NEWEST POLE POSITION RACEWAY
Eighth Location To Be In Greater New York Area
Jersey City, NJ -- Sept. 19, 2011 -- Less than a year after opening the first Pole Position Raceway on the East Coast, Liberty Park Raceway, LLC and P2R Karting, Inc. have announced plans for a second location in New York. The new facility will serve the greater Manhattan area and is expected to open in 2012. In making the announcement Eyal Farage, CEO/Co-founder of Liberty Park Raceway, LLC said, "In February 2010 we announced our intention to develop 3-5 indoor kart tracks in the Tri-State area. We are able to grow based on the tremendous response and success of our Jersey City venue."
Pole Position Raceway was founded in southern California in 2005 by a group of motorsports enthusiasts, and operates tracks in California, Oklahoma, Nevada, and New Jersey, and has another franchise slated to open in Dallas in the next few months. P2R was built for races by racers and 2004 NASCAR champion Kurt Busch, 7-time AMA Supercross champion Jeremy McGrath and X-games freestyle gold medalist Mike Metzger are among the many professional racers who helped create this ultimate racing experience.
"We chose to license a brand that provides the most-authentic, exhilarating and safe experience in indoor-karting today," said Liberty Park Raceway, LLC General Manager / Co-founder Karen Davis-Farage. "Pole Position Raceway is not only a great brand, but a company that cares about creating an exceptional experience for the customer and making sure the racer always comes first. In the first year, our strategic partners have had a significant impact on our success. They include Monster, Coca-Cola, Z100 radio, Zip Car, Madison Square Garden, The Prudential Center, Liberty Science Center, and Liberty State Park, to name a few. These partners had the vision to align with us early in our development to create promotional opportunities and exposure for us that has been invaluable."
