All of us at Pole Position Raceway were saddened by the death of IndyCar's Dan Wheldon (shown in blue) at the final round of the series in Las Vegas. Wheldon, the 2011 Indy 500 winner, was an amazing driver and for Sam Schmidt Motorsports, one of those behind the Pole Position Raceway brand.

Wheldon was involved in a 15-car accident at the beginning of the event at approximately 200mph, and actually went airborne for 100 yards. Godspeed #77. You will forever be missed!
