Indianapolis 500 winner Dan Wheldon was at Pole Position Raceway opposite the Palms hotel/casino on Wednesday night for a special fundraiser prior to this weekend’s IndyCar race.

Wheldon, along with IndyCar past and present stars such as Bobby Rahal (a two-time Indy 500 winner), Oriol Servia, James Hinchcliffe, and NASCAR pit reporter/Vegas local Jamie Little. The racers competed in a one-hour endurance race and raised over $40,000 for the Hole in the Wall Camps along with Alexis Lemonade Stand, a foundation for childhood cancer.
