P2R: Tell us about your racing background?
Robie: I 'm a second generation motorcycle hillclimber, and I compete in the Racer X / Malclolm Smith N.A.H.A. Pro-Hillclimb Seriea
P2R: Tell us what makes professional motorcycle hillclimbing so difficult?
Robie: It kinda puts different forms of motorcycle racing all into one with the hills having jumps, ledges, whoops and ruts to negotiate on a incline that is sometimes past vertical. The bikes also produce sometime more than 200 horsepower!
P2R: What's it like racing in front of 20,000 people in the N.A.H.A. Pro Hillclimb Series?
Robie: It's a blast. There is a lot of energy when the crowd is large, and it definately feeds the adenaline rush.
P2R: When you were a kid, did you ever imagine that you would be a professional racer?
Robie: I always dreamed of racing some form of motorcycle at the professional level, and by pretty much being born into it, there has been a lot of opportunity to make my dreams come true.
P2R: How did you get introduced to indoor karting?
Robie: Ken Faught brought the concept pretty much to our door step and the rest is history.
P2R: What's your favorite race format at Pole Position Raceway?
Robie: Definately the Endurance races. Being teamed up with some of your buddies for two hours is a blast
P2R: What do you think about the electric karts?
Robie: I will never drive another indoor gas cart again.
P2R: What's the best advice that you could give to new drivers at Pole Position Raceway to go faster?
Robie: Follow faster drivers to learn their lines, braking points, etc..
P2R: What was it like racing against Jeremy McGrath, Chad Reed, Robbie Maddison and some of the other top motocross and freestyle riders who come to Pole Position Raceway?
Robie: It's killer ! What other time in my life am I ever gonna have to put MC into the wall?
P2R: If you could pick any driver in the world to race against, who would it be?
Robie: Rally driver Ken Block
